Athlitz — Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 July 2026 · These terms govern your use of the Athlitz app and website.

1. What Athlitz is

Athlitz analyses cricket bowling and batting technique from video using on-device pose estimation, produces an indicative technique score, compares your movement profile to anonymised stylistic archetypes, and suggests practice drills. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, use Athlitz with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

2. Not professional coaching or medical advice

Athlitz is a training aid, not a coach, physiotherapist, or doctor. Scores, comparisons, and drills are automated estimates for general information only. Always apply your own judgement, train within your physical limits, and consult a qualified coach or medical professional before changing your technique or training load — especially for anything involving injury, pain, or bowling-action legality.

3. Accuracy of analysis

Analysis is performed from 2D pose tracking of a single camera and is inherently approximate. Shot detection, scores, and comparisons can be wrong, particularly when footage is unclear: poor lighting, a shaky, distant, or badly angled camera, loose clothing, partial occlusion, or a cluttered background all reduce accuracy. Certain distinctions (for example, cover drive vs straight drive vs on drive) cannot be reliably resolved from a single side-on camera and are left to you to confirm. Results are indicative, not measurements, and must not be relied on as biomechanical fact.

4. Accounts & acceptable use

Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.
One account per person. Automated, bulk, or abusive use (including attempts to probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the service) is prohibited.
Your display name appears on the public leaderboard — choose it accordingly. We may remove names or entries that are offensive or fraudulent.
Only analyse videos of yourself, or of people who have given you permission.

5. Plans, payments & scans

New accounts receive 1 free scan. Paid options: ₹149 (10 scans, 30 days), ₹299 (40 scans + AI coach, 30 days), ₹999 annual (120 scans, 365 days). Prices include GST where applicable and may change for future purchases; active purchases are honoured.
Purchases stack: scans add up and validity extends from your current expiry. Unused scans lapse when validity ends.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or UPI credentials.
Plans are one-time purchases, not auto-renewing subscriptions — we never charge you without a fresh checkout.

6. Refunds

If a payment is captured but scans are not credited to your account, contact us — we will credit the scans or refund the payment in full.
Duplicate or accidental payments for the same order are refunded on request.
Once scans from a purchase have been used, that purchase is non-refundable. Unused purchases may be refunded within 48 hours of payment on request.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Razorpay, typically within 5–7 working days.

7. Privacy & your data

Your video never leaves your device. All pose analysis runs in your browser; video files are not uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us.

What we do store on our servers when you use an account:

Account details: email, display name, and a securely hashed password.
Scan results: discipline, shot label, score, and derived technique numbers (angles, ratios — never images or video), so you can track progress.
Payment records: plan, amount, and Razorpay order/payment identifiers.
Leaderboard entries: your display name, best score, and shot type.

Stored locally on your device only: your sign-in token and any shot-label corrections used to personalise detection. If you use the optional AI coach, the text prompt and your technique numbers (not video) are processed by our AI provider to generate the response. We do not sell personal data. To delete your account and its data, contact us at the address below and we will action it within 30 days.

8. Intellectual property

The Athlitz software, design, and content are our property. Legend comparisons use anonymised stylistic archetypes described by public-record feats; no player names, images, or endorsements are used or implied. You retain all rights to your own videos.

9. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for training or selection decisions made in reliance on automated analysis, or for injuries arising from physical activity. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

10. Changes, termination & law

We may update these terms and will show the "last updated" date above; continued use after an update is acceptance. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at New Delhi having exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-excludable consumer protections.
