Detected shots
Auto-detect now reads the camera angle from the whole clip and, when you film 30–60° round toward the bowler, tells cover from straight from on. Filmed dead square, that direction lives on the axis the camera cannot see, and the app says so rather than guessing — set it yourself with the Correct shot dropdown; the score and legend match update instantly — and every correction teaches the app your shots (stored only on this device), so detection gets more accurate the more you use it.

Key numbers
⚠Shot detection and scores are estimated from 2D pose tracking, so errors are possible when the video isn’t clear — poor lighting, a shaky or distant camera, loose clothing, or a cluttered background all reduce accuracy. Film side-on in good light with your full body in frame, and use the Correct shot dropdown if a label looks wrong.
Closest legend
Legend profiles are anonymised stylistic archetypes described only by famous feats and playing styles from cricket's public record — illustrative reference values, not measured biomechanics data of any individual. No player names, images, or endorsements are used or implied. The guess game checks your answer locally and never displays or stores any name.
